Pantone’s Color of the Year 2017 – Greenery

Since 2000 the Pantone Color Institute has been selecting a Color of the Year. Pantone’s color experts comb the world looking for the color influence which best defines the global zeitgeist. For 2017, the Color of the Year is Pantone 15-0343 ‘Greenery!’ According to Pantone, ‘Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.’

The color ‘Greenery’ is illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors – the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate. This Pantone selection is a symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what the industry sees taking place in the global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude.
